Our college is one of the 22 Tribal Welfare Residential Degree Colleges established in Telangana under the TTWREIS (Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society), as part of the state's KG to PG free education policy launched in the academic year 2017/18. These colleges were created to address the higher educational needs of underprivileged tribal students and provide them with opportunities for academic excellence. By offering a nurturing environment focused on building confidence, communication skills, and overall personality development, these institutions aim to transform students into well-rounded individuals capable of contributing as responsible citizens of the nation.
Under the dynamic leadership of K. Seetha Laxmi, IAS, and her team at the helm of Gurukulam, TTWRDC colleges have excelled in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. With a global vision in place, students are pushing boundaries, from scaling the world’s highest peaks to exploring the vastness of the oceans. Some are even venturing into space. These students are gaining international exposure, helping them evolve into global leaders. Additionally, many are achieving national recognition in sports and the arts, with emerging talents in dance, music, acting, and more. A growing number of students are also pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams, shaping a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
