Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree College (Women) Mulugu was established during the academic year 2017-18 under the KG to PG mission by government of Telangana. It is one of the 22 degree colleges established by the Government of Telangana under the aegis of TTWREIS for the development of the marginalized sections of the Society with a motto providing the highest standard of academic excellence coupled with outstanding communication and other interpersonal abilities and thus uplifting their self-confidence. The concept of degree colleges was there fore a part of Government of Telangana's KG to PG mission .
This welfare society has started its grand journey with the mission of turning 270 Residential schools into excellence centres, not only in academics but also in co-curricular and extracurricular fronts.
The Government of Telangana keeps the utmost importance to the education and has resolved to provide KG to PG free education policy to provide free education and in the year 2017 was the beginning of (22) TTWRDCs in the state of Telangana Vide G.O Ms. No. 40 Dt 06.07.2017.
Among those (22) TTWRD Colleges 7 colleges were allocated to men to flourish themselves into the highly Knowledgeable students to compete with their counter parts from the upper strata of the society. The other 15 colleges have been allocated to women to transform themselves into the most empowered women of the society postponing their marriage till they stand on their own legs.
Under the innovative leadership of the hounorable secretary Smt. K Seetha Lakhmi, I.A.S., with his noble ideas at the helm of Gurukulam's affairs, the TTWRDC colleges are excelling in academic and other fronts. Due to the secretary's global vision, the students are scaling the heights of the highest mountain peaks in the world and testing the ocean depth. Some students passing the cosmos, nation's horizons are no limits to visiting different countries and transforming themselves into world leaders. Several students' unleash their talent in games and sports at national and international level. In these Gurukulam institutes, a number of talented musicians, dancers, actors, singers, lyricists took birth. A number of students have followed their dreams of becoming potential entrepreneurs. We are proud to say that our Gurukulam’s innovative ideas and new trends diverted the attention of the Harvard's team to visit Gurukulam's institutions and the success story is made a case-study in one of their programs.
