Sangareddy - Field Trips
Field trips are meant to give wings to curiosity of the students to explore and learn in new environments, It broadens their perspective of learning and is mostly an encouranging and enriching experience to them.
Recently, the Students of B,Sc and B,Com II year students were taken on a field trip by Telugu Faulty to understand the trials and tribulations of farmers as prescribed in the syllabus, they visited Anthayapalli and Rajampet villages. and spoke with farmers along with faculty to learn about what transpires in a day of farmers life.
The students of B.Com visited More Supermarket and HDFC bank, Sangareddy to understand how Business runs, what kind of customer services they provide and what are their businees strategies, company polocies etc. The commerce students got a chance to know how to deal with customers, their demands and needs and how they need to be addressed to effectively run a business.
The department of Zoology and Botany has visited-Manjeera wildlife sanctuary to observe Biodiversity of the sanctuary. As we know sancturies are places of protection of endangered species. understanding the key elements of the nature, their importance in maintaing an ecological balance and need to conserve are few objectives of the trip. The faculty took students around the sanctuary and tried to identify the species of plants and animals, took their pictures and made a herbarium collection too.
The Students of BZC I& II year students visited Horticulture research Centre, Sangareddy to learn about Plant Taxonomy. The Taxonomic study is very important to identify a plant, give a technical description and correct scientifc name. Taxonomy is a mainly a field based study and learning through books is not enough to gain a grip of the subject. The students along with the faculty visited the center and identified the different plant forms, learnt their botanical and common names and made a herbarium collection. They also interacted with Cheif Scientist Dr.Harikanth, who gave students a Pep talk on importance of taxonomy and how to master the field for research.
