Health Thursday
Introduction
On this Health Thursday, our college community came together to participate in a campus cleaning initiative. This event aimed to promote a clean and healthy environment, foster teamwork, and encourage community engagement.
Objectives
1. Clean and beautify the campus
2. Promote teamwork and community engagement
3. Raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment
Best Practices
1. Student-Faculty Collaboration: Students and faculty members worked together to clean the campus, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
2. Waste Segregation: Participants segregated waste into recyclable and non-recyclable categories, promoting environmentally friendly practices.
3. Cleaning Stations: Designated cleaning stations were set up across the campus, ensuring efficient and organized cleaning.
4. Awareness Campaign: An awareness campaign was conducted to educate participants about the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
Participation
1. Student Participation: Over 50 students participated in the campus cleaning initiative.
2. Faculty Participation: 5 faculty members joined the effort, demonstrating their commitment to a clean and healthy campus.
Outcomes
1. Cleaner Campus: The campus was significantly cleaner and more beautiful after the initiative.
2. Increased Awareness: Participants demonstrated a greater understanding of the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
3. Community Building: The event fostered a sense of community and teamwork among students and faculty.
BEST PRACTICES -II
Introduction
Earn while you learn program gives opportunities to the students to earn while they are learning, earning while learning is one of the most important pillars of future career development. Students of various streams not only supporting in their studies, but also gain practical experience which would help them in their later career. This helps to gain first-hand experience of the corporate world and their by develop their self- confidence and personality. In the best practice scheme students are encouraged to earn while attending their regular classes. This provides opportunity for students to explore their hidden talent and confidence to prepare better for becoming a good entrepreneur. Earning while learning is more necessity for student’s coming from poor financial condition. Hence, they will be prepared, emotionally and mentally for the changes of the graduation.
Apart from teaching and learning, college encourage, educate and mould the students so as to bring out the hidden talents and skills in them and empower them to face the society and lead a respectful life.
TGTWRDC G DAMMAPETA has taken the initiative to support the poor and needy students under the EWYL scheme adopted to help students from socio-economically disadvantaged groups earn and support their education and acquire skills to enhance their employability. the scheme was proposed by the IQAC and it was implemented college in August 2018.
OBJECTIVES
- Exploit the immense potential of students as a valuable human resource.
- Involve the students in the management and development of the institution.
- Give students hands-on experience and thereby prepare them better for taking up jobs in the future.
- Encourage young students to learn about the dignity of labour
- Prevent students from avoidable distractions and engage them in meaningful, positive activities.
- Enable meritorious and needy students to earn a reasonable amount every month to meet their expenses.
- To tap innate qualities of students.
