ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

  • The Department of History (B.A-H.E.P) was established in the year 2021 along with inception of the college. BA (HEP) CBCS introduced in the year 2016-17.
  • The Academic Schedule is prepared and followed as per the almanac of Kakatiya University and Commissionerate of Collegiate education, Hyderabad Telangana State. The staff maintains Teaching diaries, attendance registers and annual plan which are scrutinized by the Incharge of Department and Principal of College from time to time with necessary suggestions.

 

VISION  

  • The History Department aims to make the students aware of the past and its legacies through teaching, research and extension activities in Indian history in the context of world history.

MISSION

  • Transform the students into citizens who are critically informed about the past and its consequences for the present.
  • Promote studies in History, society and culture of Telangana in general and Telangana history in particular.

BA (HEP) PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

  • The students acquire knowledge in the field of social sciences, literature and humanities which make them sensitive and sensible enough.
  • The B.A. graduates will be acquainted with the social, economical, historical, geographical, political, ideological and philosophical tradition and thinking.
  • The program also empowers the graduates to appear for various competitive examinations or choose the post graduate programme of their choice.
  • The B. A. program enables the students to acquire the knowledge with human values framing the base to deal with various problems in life with courage and humanity.

On the successful completion of the course the student will be able to

HISTORY AND CULTURE OF INDIA 700 – 1526 CE –II                                           SEMESTER -II

On the successful completion of the course the student will be able to

  • Indian history and culture help to develop a better understanding of medieval India.
  • Study of Pallavas period comes to know how the develop the art and architecture.
  • Study of Chola period we can understand the Cholas local self government.
  • Study of this period we can learn about the new religious movements like Shaiva Nayanars and Vishnava Alvars.
  • Study of this period a comes to know the impact of bakti and sufi movements on our Indian society and culture
  • Study of Kakatiya period we comes to know about the art and architecture of that period
