Functions of ICC:

  1. Receiving Complaints: The ICC is responsible for receiving complaints related to harassment, discrimination, or any form of misconduct within the organization. This can include complaints from employees, contractors, vendors, or any other stakeholders associated with the organization.

  2. Investigating Complaints: The ICC conducts thorough and impartial investigations into the complaints it receives. This involves gathering evidence, interviewing relevant parties, and documenting findings to determine the validity of the complaint and identify any policy violations or misconduct.

  3. Maintaining Confidentiality: The ICC ensures the confidentiality of the complainant, the accused, and any witnesses involved in the investigation. Confidentiality is crucial for creating a safe environment for individuals to come forward with their complaints without fear of retaliation or breach of privacy.

  4. Providing Support and Guidance: The ICC offers support and guidance to complainants throughout the complaint resolution process. This can include providing information about available resources, offering counseling services, or facilitating mediation between parties involved in the complaint.

  5. Implementing Remedial Measures: If the ICC determines that harassment, discrimination, or misconduct has occurred, it recommends appropriate remedial measures to address the issue. This may include disciplinary action, counseling, training, or other corrective measures aimed at preventing recurrence and promoting a respectful work environment.

  6. Monitoring and Follow-up: The ICC monitors the implementation of remedial measures and ensures that appropriate follow-up actions are taken to address any ongoing concerns or prevent retaliation against the complainant. This includes periodically reviewing the status of complaints and ensuring that the organization's policies and procedures are followed consistently.

  7. Raising Awareness: The ICC conducts awareness-raising activities and training programs to educate employees about their rights and responsibilities regarding harassment and discrimination. This helps to create a culture of respect and inclusivity within the organization and encourages employees to come forward with complaints when necessary.

  8. Maintaining Records: The ICC maintains detailed records of all complaints received, investigations conducted, and outcomes achieved. This documentation is essential for accountability, reporting, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies
