The idea of 'Career Guidance Cell' is to create a safe place for students in seeking guidance, making well- informed decisions and building themselves a pragmatic career. This cell works to help students in finding ways to put their intellect, well-earned skills and interests to use, as they figure out their future. Our CGC has now become an integral part of the institution.
VISION : To be a centre of eminence in career enhancement by imparting skills of standards to students and make them accountable citizens.
MISSION :
To provide awareness and training to students for uplifting their attitude,aptitude,soft skills in order to achieve a successful career in government, private or public sector.
To inspire, promote and facilitate incubation of startups by students.
Details of Career Guidance Cell : The CGC consists of a chairman,vice-chairman, Coordinator, an Assistant Coordinator and three members from different departments (Arts, Sciences, Commerce) in the college.
Functioning of the cell:
The ‘Career Guidance Cell (CGC)’ works with the sole objective of enhancing the students’ skills and ensuring awareness of the opportunities after their graduation. It provides assistance and advice to the students with the support of the rest of the faculty. The cell particularly focuses on the outgoing students as to help them realize their future in higher education, employment or entrepreneurship. The students are profiled into these three categories as to serve their interests, capabilities and needs.
The Cell furnish relevant academic and career information to enable students to make informed decisions along the way. Help the students acquire the knowledge, information, skills and experience necessary to identify career options and narrow down them to one career decision that results in their social and financial compatability. The CGC conducts survey among the students on career options and organize programmes to create awareness about the importance of higher studies.
Education:
This wing encourages the students to pursue higher education in reputed universities, institutions across the world.The students are encouraged and assisted in applying for various higher educational courses in institutions such as TISS, Azim Premji University, BHU, Central Universities, etc.
The required information and guidance regarding these opportunities is shared with the students via displays, newspaper clippings, emails, etc.
PG Entrance coaching: A two -hour slot in the outgoing batch’s academic timetable is allotted exclusively for PG entrance coaching. The concerned subject faculty interact with the students in this slot to coach them in their respective fields. Weekly and grand tests are conducted as to evaluate the students’ progress and further requirements.
Separate time table is prepared for the lll year students for the PG entrance coaching and as well as for regular academics.
The schedule covers all the important topics (Subject wise) in accordance with the PG entrance examination of various universities.
The schedule is to be completed before commencement of Vl semester examination.
At least 12 weekly examinations and 3 Grand tests per subject are conducted. The performance of the students should be recorded and the consolidated report is submitted to the head office by the end of the every week.performance of the each student should be reviewed by end of the week with subject faculty.
