Remedial Coaching Committee

Telangana Tribal welfare Residential Degree College for Women Suryapet,  initiated student supportive programmes like remedial coaching which is availed by the students with poor academic performance. Based on the internal assessment and University examination results students are identified and due attention is provided for their areas of weakness and are given apposite assistance. Special attention is established by furnishing micro notes and small learning modules for the students in a flexible time frame.  In addition to remedial teaching, surplus sessions are provided for them before or after regular class hours and on holidays.

Aims and Objectives

• To improve the academic skills of the students in various subjects.
• To raise their level of comprehension of basic subjects to provide a stronger foundation for further academic work.
• To strengthen their knowledge skills and attitudes in such subjects, where quantitative and qualitative techniques are involved so that the necessary guidance and training provides under the programme may enable the student to come up to level necessary for pursuing higher studies efficiently.

Action Plan:

 - To bridge the gap between future learners and advanced learners each class is fractionated into number of quartet groups consisting of an advanced learner, an average learner, an above average and a future learner. This is an effective tool to support focused reflection, helps the teachers to give individual attention and strengthens collaborative learning.

- Remedial Coaching classes from 5Am - 7AM and 5Pm -7PM by the lecturers to the slow learners

- Assignments are to be given on important topics and a learning assesment is to be taken in the same week

- Prepartion of study material and short notes as per evaluators point of view by the lecturers.

- Monthly Review will be taken by the Committee on the progress of the slow learner.
