ABOUT LIBRARY
The TTWRDC (Womens), Suryapet has the Library comprises in and about Four Departmental Libraries collectively support the teaching, research, and extension programs of the Institute. Each departmental library is maintained by the concerned departmental library coordinator under the guidelines of the concerned Head of the department. The Librarian of the our college procures the books, journals, or other resources required to the institution.
In-house operations of the library are fully computerized using the NEW –GEN LIB 3.1.1 Library management software, which also provides web-based access to the catalogue of the Library and some Departmental Libraries. It has a barcode-based automated library system and a wide variety of printed and electronic collections catering to the needs of all the students, faculty, and staff.

Our vision for the Central Library is to provide excellent resources and innovative services to encourage creativity, intellectual curiosity, and to facilitate lifelong learning and research within our learners.
MISSION
To support the academic and research needs of the students and staff to improve the quality of technical education by bringing it at par with national and international bench marks, is the core mission of the Library.
OBJECTIVES
1. Cultivate reading habits among teaching and students community.
2. Develop library as a well-equipped information centre with both print and digital information
in abundance.
3. Implement state-of-the-art facility to deliver library services by using technology.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As per University Library Committee is a “general policy making body for the library service of the college which advices the Syndicate on any matter connected with the Library services including funds, books, staff etc.,
- Librarian is the Secretary of the Committee.
- One faculty from each Department and one student from each section considered as Library committee member deputed by the HOD concern Department.
- The function of the Library Committee is to support the functioning of the library so that it can facilitate the library development plans by advocating the library development activities with the management.
- The purpose of the Library Committee is to act as a channel of communication and dialogue between the college Library and its users.
- The Committee’s main objective is to aid in the establishment a bridge between the Library and the academic fraternity and the institute management.
- The Library Committee (LC) is appointed by the principal of the college and is a statutory Committee.
FUNCTIONS OF LIBRARY COMMITTEE:
- The Library committee monitors the procurement of books, Journals and the allocation of the budget according to the recommendation of the heads of the departments.
- To supervise the allocation and utilization of funds for different departments for the purchase of books and journals for the Departmental libraries.
- Advises and reviews library policies for instruction, resources, services, and the facility.
- Advises regarding library services, especially innovation, for the campus community.
- Discusses budgetary issues for books, journals, databases, media, etc.
- To maintain liaison between Library and various Academic Departments for the purchase of networking of Departmental libraries with the Central Library.
