CGC - CGC-Education, Entrepreneurship & Employment (EEE)
Career Guidance Cell (CGC) is a unique body functioning to provide wholesome development to students, which has been done through three factors Education, Entrepreneurship and Employment thereby enhancing their skills and prospects after graduation to foster them in career goals achievement.
Objectives:
- To skill students on a large scale with speed and high standards in order to achieve their goals in their chosen paths.
- To make students efficient after graduation such that they are enough aware regarding career opportunities and also help in achieving their goals..
- It intends to work with the organizations like NAANDI foundation to empower the students in essential soft-skills required for career development.
Functioning:
- Monitoring and Organizing is done by a coordinator, Asst. Coordinator & members who are the faculty of the college.
Activities:
1. Education:
- Conducting subject-wise PG coaching classes and weekly grand tests for final year students.
- Offering classes in general studies, arithmetic and reasoning for various competitive exams.
- Selecting students for training programs in specialized academies aimed at higher education and preparing them for PG exams.
2. Employability:
- Providing employability skills training for final year students interested in pursuing employment opportunities after graduation.
- Organizing a 100-hour program using the prescribed Elevate Oxford book through activity-based teaching methods.
- Collaborating with organizations such as NAANDI Foundation to offer soft-skill training programs and workshops.
- Providing “Data Science” training camp for the students and make them efficient in personality development to achieve job.
- Providing jobs by conducting placement drive to the students who have undergone “Data Science” training.
3. Entrepreneurship:
- Conducting a one-week training program in collaboration with NAANDI Foundation for aspiring entrepreneurs.
- Organizing visits to Zoological sites like Poultry Farm to make students learn about modern poultry production thereby making them aware of marketing skills.
4. Additional Initiatives:
- Organizing industry interactions, guest lectures, and industrial visits to provide students with real-world insights.
- Conducting skill development workshops to enhance soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Facilitating mock interview sessions and networking opportunities for students.
- Providing workshops on financial literacy and encouraging participation in collaborative projects and competitions.
- Establishing a feedback mechanism for continuous improvement and resource mobilization efforts to support CGC initiatives.
The Career Guidance Cell plays a crucial role in empowering students to make informed decisions about their future endeavours. Through its various activities and initiatives, the CGC aims to equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and opportunities in order to succeed in their chosen paths of higher education, employment, or entrepreneurship. Moving forward, the CGC remains committed to supporting the holistic development and career aspirations of the student community
