About:

The Theatre Club is crucial to help students express themselves on stage and in understanding the literature. It is a way for students to step out of their comfort zone and augment their campus life with new experiences, on stage and in front of the audience. The theatre club has carried out stage productions to enhance the creative skills of the students and also to explore various interests of the students in performance skills. With the move the theatre club and its activities evolved to with skits, stage performances and drama action which have raised the bar of creativity and participation of the students.

Theatre Club provides a platform for students to express themselves creatively and also to perform their favourite drama and skits thereby encouraging them to express their interests. It allows them to explore their emotions, thoughts, and ideas in a safe and supportive environment. Through theatre, students learn to communicate effectively, develop empathy and understand human emotions. It helps them to develop social skills, work in a team, and build self-confidence.

Objective:

• To enhance the academic performance of students by helping them to perform the skits of their respective syllabus literary drama, short stories etc.
• To organize activities that provides opportunities to develop the communication skills through theatre performance.
• To conduct activities including Skit, stage performance of Drama etc.
• To facilitating students to address their fears of stage performance while at the same time enabling them to learn and express.
