INITIATION:

The Government of Telangana has accorded sanction for (22) new Degree Colleges for ST students in Telangana State, Out of (22) Degree colleges, (15)  for Women and (07) for Men for the Academic Year 2017-18.

The department was established in 2017, an iconic year in the lifeline of Gurukulams.

The Department of Computer Science was started in the year 2017 with  B.Sc. Computer Science and B.Com Computer Applications with intake of 40 students in each group.  In accordance with Choice Based Credit System, new papers have been introduced through the University. Apart from regular papers, the Department also deals with SEC and GE papers for the students of B.SC(MPCS), BCOM(CA), B.SC(BZC), BA(HEP).The Department has actively conducted several academic programmes in order to bring in an overall understanding of the subject of Computer Science.

The success of the department lies with the faculty who have committed themselves into recognizing the needs of industry and motivating the students to high levels of performance. Most of our students got recruited into top notch companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. The department staff has strived towards imparting quality education to the students by honing their creative, intellectual and personal skills. Our staff attended seminars and workshops to cope with the upcoming technologies.
