Initiation:

The Department of Chemistry has been functioning from the inception of the college in the year 2017as Tribal Welfare Residential Degree college (M) in KAMAREDDY. J. Naveen is the first head of the department of chemistry from 2017 to 2019. Then the department is headed by Dr.M.Hima Bindu from 2019 to present. Then the chemistry was taught to the students of B.Sc., (B. SC. BZC & B. SC. FZC) and the medium of instruction is English only. Also it was taught to the students of Pre-University.

The Chemistry department’s building is set up with One lab for the purpose of conducting the regular practical classes for B.Sc., (B. SC. BZC) I, II and III Year classes.

Chemistry laboratory is there having with all equipped chemicals and materials i.e, Sufficient scientific instruments and glassware for conducting the practical classes.

The holistic development of the students and make them able to contribute effectively and to serve the society with heightened intellectual, cultural, ethical, and humane sensitivities; to foster a scientific temper, and to promote professional and technological expertise.

Mission

To create and maintain the programs of excellence in the areas of research and education. To produce leadership in science and technology. To promote, inspire and nurture the fundamentals of chemistry through UG courses offered for the basic sciences. To build up research interest for the transformation of budding chemists into productive scientists, excellent teachers, entrepreneurs and innovative independent researchers. Our specific goal is to become a nationally recognized centre of chemical sciences for modern education with a state of art centralized research facility.
