INITIATION:

The Department of Physics was established in the year 2017 along with the foundation of the College in 2017.

The Department of Physics deals with several branches of Physics for the Undergraduate Students in the B.Sc. stream. In accordance with Choice Based Credit System, new papers have been introduced through the University. Apart from regular papers, the Department also deals with SEC and GE papers for the students of B.Sc.

The Department has actively conducted several academic programmes in order to bring in an overall understanding of the subject of Physics.

• To build a foundation for excellence by promoting interest and passion in Physics.

• To provide high quality physics education equipping students for higher education. 
• To develop among students, sensitivity to contribute to the betterment of society through knowledge in Physics.

Mission:

The mission of this department is to teach and learn physics in a collaborative, performance – based pathway; to encourage the students towards observation and analysis of the natural world.

• To impart quality education in theoretical and experimental physics through effective teaching learning process.
• To motivate the students to pursue higher studies in physics which can provide a wider path for career prospects.

• To support the developmental activities of the college by encouraging the students to participate both in co-curricular and extracurricular events.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

• To have an understanding and knowledge in fundamental areas of physics at graduate level.
• To be able to apply mathematical methods to understand concepts of physics.
• To kindle interest in the subject to see the world of physics in its true elegance.
• To carry down the knowledge and understanding to further generations and others around them.
