Established in 2017, the department has successfully completed Six years with a good reputation as a center of academic and research activities. The department caters basic science courses in chemistry and is provided with well established laboratory facilities including sophisticated instrumental facilities. The department also has a store room. Highly qualified faculty and dedicated staff in the department provide an ideal environment for the teaching learning process and research activities. The department is actively involved in research activities and is evident from the quality research articles published in peer reviewed international journals. Currently the department is having two groups (B.Z.C. and Mb.Z.C.)under all the three years.

• To increase the usage of modern technology in lab and lecture course.
• To encourage the under-represented tribal communities to greatly participate in seminars and to  explore different opportunities in chemistry.

Courses-Under Graduate level

The department of  Chemistry has been offering Chemistry course in various B.Sc. Programmes since 2017. At present, the chemistry course is being offered Only in B.Sc Life Sciences (CBCS).
