An academic institution's library is one of the most valuable assets both in terms of teaching and learning and it is the temple of books .Besides being a repository, it provides a service to the students to accumulate the knowledge.
In addition of supporting the academic mission of Telangana Tribal Welfare Degree College, the college Library provides the skills and knowledge which are necessary to help students for academic advancement and job opportunities.
Vision:
- The Vision for Our Library is to provide seamless access to information to its users in a networked environment and to become a premier Learning Resource Centre with a state-of-the-academic library resources and services in Arts, Commerce, Life Sciences and Science & Technology and related areas.
Mission:
- The mission of Our Library, is to provide access to high quality information resources in all forms to the faculty, students and staff in support of teaching, learning, scholarship and research mission of the Institute. With a commitment to excellence in services, Library offers information resources and innovative services to support the intellectual inquiry, research and lifelong learning needs of Society community.
Objectives:
- To establish and maintain an effective relationship with the students, faculty, researchers and staff of the Institute to ensure an informed and integrated approach to the creation and delivery of information services.
- To select, collect, create, organize, preserve, manage and provide access to information sources in print, non-print and digital forms, regardless of physical location.
- To maintain and preserve books, materials and resources with historical, cultural, social, economic and archival value, and other related materials in an organized collection to provide members of the community these materials and to support scholarly pursuit, learning, teaching and research in the Institute.
Our Library is the heart and treasure of Organisation ….It consists of one hall of dimensions of 133.155 square meters and it is situated on the left side at the entrance of the first floor.
It contains 8,103 documents which includes text books for different streams.We offer B.Sc(M.P.Cs, M.St.Ds, B.Z.C., Mb.Z.C.), B.Com(CA) & BA(CA).
Library Working hours:
- Library Timings (8.30 AM to 5.00 PM) on all working days
- Reading Room available for students 24/7 hours.
We also have subject wise reference books as patrons can utilize the textbook and also refer to great author books for better understanding. Apart from this we also have books for Post Graduation coaching practice books, Telugu novels, English novels, NCERT books for the access of students. We also have books related to aptitude, Reasoning, Banking exam related books to encourage our students to get the job in government sectors to serve the society. The arrangement of shelving of documents is “subject arrangement” by the instruction .
We have preserved with closed shelving(Glass Almirahs).The room is having good ventilation and aeration.That we are maintaining transparency among Textbooks and Reference books.We provide Educational and Entertainment based resources from library like SHINE INDIA,YOJANA and KURUKSHETRA monthly magazines, and providing some free subscription and access portals those are “e-resources for self learning”as of entertainment and relaxation .
We provide THE HINDU weekly magazine. Library organizes Orientation Programs to Fresh patrons, Book Exhibition to attract patrons attention towards Library Services, National library week (Nov-14 to 20) celebrations to tell the importance of the library and we also have Internet to facilitate and give more flexible,accurate and "transparent information to the user without delay…………….".that we can say to save the time of the user we considerate internet.
The Institute maintains a wide selection of non-academic , rare and non book materials to provide patrons an enriched experience and fastest information. The non-academic books cover a wide range of topics that contribute to the development of users. The different topics include, Books on history and literature of India and Telangana. Biography and autobiography of eminent personalities. Books related to GATE, CAT, GMAT, GRE, IELTS andTOEFL…other competitive examinations.Non book materials (Other resources) like maps ,charts photos and DVD’s are available in library,Library preserves history of everything…so as of educational organization we preserved previous question papers and paper clippings of NEWS
