The Department of Chemistry of Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree College for Girls, Mahabubabad was started in the year 2017.It offers three undergraduate courses viz., B.Sc (Chemistry, Botany and Zoology), B.Sc (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry), B.Sc (Chemistry, Food & Nutrition and Zoology). The Department has three sanctioned posts. The Department has equipped laboratory.
     The Department caters the needs of students not only by providing quality education but also by mentoring them to choose bright future by opting for post graduation studies and career opportunities. The Department participates in extension activities of the college like Healthy Thursday, Social outreach programmes in nearby places, observing Ozone Layer Protection Day etc.,
     The Department arranges career guidance programmes, Community learning, Group discussions etc., to encourage sharing of knowledge., among students, field visits to provide first hand learning experience.
     The Department conducts and participates in workshops, seminars etc., to motivate students towards research studies.
