Vision & Mission

Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree for Men Nagarkurnool, located in Jadcherla (AISHE code: C-60954), was established in 2017 as part of the Government of Telangana's KG to PG Education policy. This initiative, under the auspices of TGTWREIS (Tribal Welfare Gurukulam), aimed to provide quality education to students from marginalized communities.

The TGTWREIS originated from APTWREIS in 1984 with the mission of transforming residential schools into centers of academic and holistic excellence. By 1998, the society was bifurcated, leading to the establishment of Tribal Welfare Gurukulam, dedicated to uplifting tribal communities. In 1999, APTWREIS was declared an autonomous society to uphold national educational standards.

In 2017, the Government of Telangana reaffirmed its commitment to education by launching the KG to PG free education policy. This included the establishment of 22 TGTWRDCs (Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree Colleges), with 7 allocated to men and 15 to women. These colleges aimed to empower students to compete on par with their counterparts from other sections of society, delaying marriage for women until they were self-reliant.

TGTWRDCs have excelled in academics, sports, arts, and entrepreneurship. Students have represented the nation internationally, attracted Harvard University's research team, and showcased their talents on various platforms. The college's motto is to educate, enlighten, emancipate, and empower students from marginalized communities, focusing on communication skills, human values, and competitiveness.

Telangana Tribal Welfare Degree College (Men), NagarKurnool, is one of the 22 colleges established under TGTWREIS. It offers a range of undergraduate courses including BA (HEP), B.Com (General and Computer Applications), B.Sc (MPC, MPCs, BZC, MZC), and Integrated M.Sc (Chemistry) starting from the academic year 2020-2021 onwards.

The college, established on August 28, 2017, is committed to providing holistic education and fostering the overall development of its students.
