Composition and Responsibilities

Comprising faculty members, health educators, administrative staff, and student representatives, the Health and Hygiene Committee focuses on:

  • Developing and implementing health promotion programs and initiatives tailored to the college community’s needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and standards within campus facilities.
  • Organizing awareness campaigns, workshops, and events on topics such as nutrition, hygiene practices, mental health, and disease prevention.
  • Providing first aid training, emergency response protocols, and access to healthcare resources for students and staff.

Activities and Functions

  • Health Education: Offering workshops and seminars on topics such as nutrition, stress management, personal hygiene, and sexual health.
  • Campus Cleanliness: Implementing initiatives to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and waste management practices across campus.
  • Wellness Programs: Promoting physical activity, healthy eating habits, and mental wellness through recreational activities and wellness events.
  • Safety and Preparedness: Ensuring readiness for health emergencies and promoting safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries on campus.
