RTI  ACT 

The President of India granted consent to the Right to Information Act 2005 on June 15, 2005, and it officially came into effect on October 12, 2005. The Right to Information Act establishes a practical framework allowing citizens to access information held by public authorities. Its primary aim is to foster transparency and accountability within every public institution.

According to the Act, "information" encompasses any material, regardless of form, including records, documents, memos, emails, opinions, advisories, press releases, circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts, reports, papers, samples, models, and data held electronically. Additionally, it covers information pertaining to any private entity accessible by a public authority under existing laws.

Under the provisions of the Right to Information Act 2005, citizens have the right to request information related to public authorities that are established, constituted, owned, controlled, or substantially financed by funds provided directly or indirectly by the State Government. This request is made through an application to the designated Public Information Officer (PIO).

It's important to note that the Right to Information is a privilege granted exclusively to citizens of India. This right extends to inspecting records, obtaining copies, and even sampling goods inspected.

In the implementation process of the Right to Information Act 2005, Gurukulam has been receiving numerous applications from individuals seeking information within the Act's prescribed time limits. As part of this process, the Principal and the Senior authority of every department have been designated as Public Information Officers (PIOs) for TTWRDC (M) College and TTWRDC (M) Nagarkurnool.
