Vision & Mission of IQAC    

 

Vision :

To foster a culture of quality enhancement and continuous improvement in all aspects of the institution's functioning, thereby ensuring excellence in education, research, and service to society.

Mission:

1.            To develop and implement robust quality assurance mechanisms that align with the standards and criteria set forth by NAAC.

2.            To facilitate the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices that promote quality in teaching, learning, research, and governance.

3.            To promote a culture of self-evaluation, reflection, and improvement among faculty, staff, and students.

4.            To collaborate with various stakeholders within and outside the institution to gather feedback, analyze data, and implement strategies for quality enhancement.

5.            To provide support, training, and resources to various departments and units within the institution to ensure compliance with quality standards.

6.            To conduct regular internal audits, reviews, and assessments to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions.

7.            To engage in benchmarking exercises and best practices to benchmark against peer institutions and global standards.

8.            To prepare and submit quality assurance reports to NAAC and other relevant accrediting bodies, demonstrating the institution's commitment to quality enhancement.

 

 

Functions of IQAC :          

 

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in a college serves several important functions aimed at ensuring and enhancing the quality of education and overall institutional performance. Some of the key functions of IQAC in a college include:

1.            Developing and Implementing Quality Policies: IQAC is responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing quality policies and procedures that align with the goals and objectives of the college.

2.            Coordination of Quality Assurance Activities: IQAC coordinates various quality assurance activities within the college, including the preparation of Self-Study Reports (SSR) for accreditation purposes.

3.            Monitoring Academic Programmes: IQAC monitors the academic programs offered by the college to ensure they meet the required standards of quality and relevance. This includes curriculum development, review, and updating.

4.            Facilitating Internal Quality Reviews: IQAC facilitates internal quality reviews and assessments of different departments and units within the college to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

5.            Organizing Workshops and Training: IQAC organizes workshops, seminars, and training programs for faculty, staff, and students to enhance their understanding of quality assurance practices and foster a culture of quality consciousness.

6.            Collecting and Analyzing Feedback: IQAC collects feedback from stakeholders such as students, alumni, employers, and parents, and analyzes the data to identify strengths and weaknesses of the college.

7.            Promoting Research and Innovation: IQAC promotes research and innovation activities within the college by providing support and resources to faculty and students and encouraging interdisciplinary collaborations.

8.            Ensuring Compliance with Accreditation Standards: IQAC ensures that the college complies with accreditation standards set by regulatory bodies such as NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) or other relevant accrediting agencies.

9.            Documentation and Reporting: IQAC maintains records and documentation related to quality assurance activities and prepares periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders, including accreditation agencies.

10.          Continuous Improvement: IQAC plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the college by facilitating self-assessment, benchmarking against best practices, and implementing quality enhancement initiatives.
