Industrial Visit to IT HUB Nizamabad:
The Department of Computer Science in collaboration with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) visited IT Hub. Students of MPCs and MSCs III years along with all faculty reached the IT Hub at 11.00 AM. The Students interacted with Employees of multiple companies at IT HUB , Scout Better, HRH Next, Devlots, Geo Spatial technologies. Employees of Scout Better Conducted Mock interviews to the Students and Mr. Bharath, CEO, Devlots Pvt Limited interacted with students and explained them about different job opportunities available in IT Sector. The Visit motivated many of the students to improve their communication skills and prepare for future Jobs that they want to acquire.
Seminar on Cyber Crime, Reporting of Cyber crimes online and Offline:
The Department of Computer Science organized an informative session on Cyber Crimes, focusing on both online and offline reporting mechanisms. The session, presented by experts from the Cyber Crime Police Station in Nizamabad, provided participants with an in-depth understanding of the various forms of cybercrimes and how to report them effectively. Real-life examples of cybercrime incidents were shared, offering a practical perspective on how these crimes unfold and how victims can seek help. By the end of the session, participants were better equipped to identify, respond to, and report cybercrimes in both online and offline settings.
2 Days Technical Workshop on Closed Circuit Television using DVR and Fire Alarm Panel operation with Fire Detectors:
The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the HSS Training Institute, organized a workshop on December 7th and 8th, 2021, focusing on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) using DVR and Fire Alarm Panel operation with Fire Detectors. The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in these essential security and safety systems. It covered the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems, along with the operation of fire alarm panels and detectors. Experts from HSS Training Institute guided attendees through the mechanisms of both systems, emphasizing their integration for continuous monitoring and emergency response. By the end of the workshop, participants had developed the technical skills to manage and maintain these systems effectively, gaining valuable expertise in the critical areas of security and fire safety.
WORLD COMPUTER LITERACY DAY:
The department organizes several programs every year on World Computer Literacy Day. On 2-12-2021, Awareness program was conducted to students on importance of computer literacy. On 2-12-2022, online Posters presentation Competition was conducted. ON 2-12-2024, One Day Workshop is conducted for newly recruited staff on Google Docs, Google Sheets, Slides.
INTERNATIONAL SAFER INTERNET DAY:
To commemorate international safer internet day, the department of computer science organized poster making competition on online safety. 25 students participated and the students felt the event as informative session.
MEDITATION SESSION:
The department of Computer Science successfully organized “MEDITATION SESSION” on 19-05-2022. The session aimed to equip students with mediation skills, enabling them to manage conflicts and maintain positive relationships among students. The event is conducted in collaboration with Om Shanthi Mandali, Maharashtra.
WORLD EARTH DAY:
The Department of computer science has conducted an event “World Earth Day” on 22-04-2022 to promote environmental awareness among students & faculty and Encouraged them to adopt eco-friendly activities in their lives. We pledged to Protect Mother Earth.
INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY:
The department successfully organized an event “INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY” on 08-09-2022 to promote literacy awareness, reading habits and emphasize the importance of education in shaping individuals and society. A rally Was Conducted to convey the importance of Literacy to the Thanda community.
NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY:
The department of Computer Science has celebrated “NATIONAL GIRLS CHILD DAY” on 24-01-2023 to promote girl’s empowerment, education and wellbeing and explained the importance of girl’s education to the society and family by conducting drama and dance performance.
Freshers Party
The Department of Computer Science organized a Freshers’ Party for the 2019 batch on 02.08.2019 and 2020 batch on 25.09.2020. The event was a fun-filled occasion where students from both batches came together to celebrate, make new connections, and enjoy an evening of entertainment.
