 Objectives of the Practice

 The Context Students stay away from parents for a long time. They miss their parents and feel home sick. The college caters to the higher education needs of the rural students from surrounding 07 mandals of

To cater to the personal and emotional needs of the students

• To Improve the Attendance percentage of the students coming from surrounding Villages
• To Encourage the students to stay at campus  
• To Conduct Add-on courses beyond college hours  
• To Make students attend Remedial Coaching classes,  in study hours 
• To Improve the Pass percentage
• To Encourage the students participate in all  activities 
•  Make students enthusiastic in afternoon session and involve in Club activities 

NIZAMABAD . 90% of the students hail from poor, rural first generation learner background. Due to limited seats at Government SC, ST Hostels around 30% of the students at college are HOSTEL

The practices :- 

 Visits the class every day morning

• Escorts them to the health check ups as and when needed.
•  Has an in depth knowledge of the family- relation with parents, with siblings 
• Maintain in and out details for the students- when and why they had to take a leave. 
• Knows the aim of the students, fears, insecurities if any.

A houseparent book is maintained having all the details of the students like Aadhar card number, voter id, etc.,.The house parent is also responsible for monitoring physical and psychological issues of their students and will be supportive in their odd situations.On every Second Saturday there will be a Parent’s Meeting/Visiting. And only family members will be allowed for that meeting whose photos will be maintained in a register. An In and Out register is maintained to keep track information about the no. of days and reasons to go home and also who came to pick and drop them.To refresh their brain

They can participate in all the activities in the college premises.  

Evidence of Success

 All students are benefited by the home away from home every day. at the college to needy Hostel the attendance in the afternoon session classes increased. attended afternoon classes and joined in addition to courses conducted beyond college hours. Attendance percentage of students attending Remedial coaching increased. There has been increase in the University semester end examination result. Students, especially girl students recovered from their stress to relieve  their brain doing club activities .Activity pacted a phenomenal increase in admissions during last year only because of the  club activity and hostel facility .

Problems Encountered and Resources Required

Government sponsored High school level of activities . There is no budget provision from the government regarding club activities  at Degree colleges.  Providing clubs requires financial and infrastructural facilities.
