DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

 

    The Department of Physics was established in the academic year 2017-2018 with establishment of the college. It is Offering  B.Sc (physical science). The intake of students to the course is 40 students. This Department was started with 10 students in B.Sc (MPCs) Course in the first year i.e., 2017-18. First batch passed out with 100 % Pass Percentage and Majority of the students join in higher education 

      As part of the National Science day, to mark the occasion of Sir C.V Raman’s discovery “The Raman Effect”, department is organizing science fairs/Exhibitions on 28th February every year.

     Guest lectures are arranged to motivate the students in to the exciting field of physics and to develop the concept-based learning

The department is well equipped with latest laboratory instruments.

VISSON OF THE DEPARTMENT

To Establish a platform for foundation towards excellence, Creation of knowledge, Understanding research through teaching at under graduate level in Physics .

 MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT :

1.   To Attainment  the students and discover the talent in both theory and practical Physics.
2.    To build a foundation for excellence and encourage the development of the Institution as a premier Institution by promoting   enthusiasm, interests and  passion in  the study of Physics, as a part of curriculum . 
3.  To create intellectual property through innovations, quality research publications by Physics.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Students will use principles, laws, and basic concepts to solve and present problems and explain phenomena in the following areas of physics: thermodynamics, optics, special relativity, quantum mechanics, atomic and nuclear physics ,Basic  Electronics.

2. Gain the ability to think critically.
