Achievements/Institutional Best Practices - Sports
TTWDC (GIRLS) JANGAON (SPORTS)
When we talk about a student, an image of a child with a bag and lots of books comes in our mind. However, the environment of an educational institution shouldn’t just be confined to academics. Only academics would make a student bookworm. That is why there are many other activities that are essential for the holistic development of students. Sports are a very important part of our life. Sports not only keep the students healthy but these also contribute to their mental development. These instill personality traits like confidence, self-esteem, team spirit, compassion, etc in the students.
Sports are indeed the most technical part of giving us our identity. One who is constantly involved in sports and games activity, has good mental and physical growth and development. Also, it helps us to learn many new things in life. It assists us in building confidence, develops our personalities, and maintains mental and physical balance.
At Gurukulam we understand the importance of sports for a child’s development. That is why physical education is one of the significant components of the institute and for this, we have a fixed schedule that every student has to follow. It includes an hour for games and sports daily. We have a coach who provides proper training to the students so that the aspirants can even pursue their careers in their respective sport.
Our society focuses on the importance of sports as sports develops a sense of friendliness among the students and develop their team spirit. Their importance in the overall and holistic development of students cannot be denied. It helps the students to developmental and physical toughness, shapes their body, and makes it strong and active. Our society believes in motivating the students to actively participate in sports to avoid being tired and lethargic and engage meaningful connection with education as it can improve performance in academic skills, as well as increase competitive spirit.
