Student/College council was established in 2017 as per the instructions of Gurukulam.

The motto of student council is ‘Self Governance’. It also helps to enhance the skills of students and to develop leadership skills among students. The council consists of

Responsibilities of Student Council:

• To conduct college assembly every day.
• To assist staff in maintaining college discipline.
• To organise student talk twice in a month.
• To assist the faculty in organising various club activities.
• To assist physical director during morning and evening games / Sports.
• To organise various cultural activities at institution.
• To assist ANM in maintaining hygiene of the campus.
• To monitor the sick students regularly and submit the report to house in charges and ANM.
• To monitor proper functioning of tube lights and fans and to avoid water wastage.
• To monitor food supply and to avoid wastage of food.
• To conduct Food committee meetings with Principal, Vice Principal, Deputy warden, mess manager and class leaders.
• To co-ordinate with cooking staff and students regarding food issues.
• To co-ordinate with all class leaders.
• To co-ordinate with NSS PO and NSS volunteers.

Process to Elect Student Council:

• Election notification releasing
• Receiving nominations for various categories
• Canvassing
• Conducting elections
• Votes counting
• Declaration of results.
