The Department of Physics was established in the academic year 2017-2018 with establishment of the college a platform with a objective to lay foundation towards excellence, Creation of knowledge and Understanding research through teaching at under graduate level in Physics .The Department offers B.Sc (physical science) with an intake of 80 students with 40 students in each course of MPC and MPCs. It also offers non-core papers to the Life science department of BSc and MZc. The department is well equipped with latest laboratory instruments and a Dark room facilitly to carry out optic lab experiments. The Students use principles, laws, and basic concepts to solve the present day problems and explain phenomena in the following areas of physics: Mechanics Thermodynamics, Optics, Special theory of Relativity, Quantum and Statistical Mechanics, Atomic and nuclear physics, Basic Electronics etc.
