TTWREIS provides various programs for the students for all round development in various aspects they include “MIRROR PROJECT”, “DEAR TIME”, “E-PLUS club”, “Community our reach” “S-Mall”, “Healthy Thursday”, “Kitchen Garden” and other “8”clubs.

  • Student Council:

  • College level elections are conducted to select student council each year. All the students franchise their vote in selecting the Captain, Vice-Caption and other council members.                                     

AIESEC(Association for international students in the field of Economics and Commerce: In a shell we can share few academic achievements as AIESEC, an international Internship program. 3 of our students Yamini, Sankeerthi&Siritha visited Greece, Srilanka& Egypt for their internship programs each 45 days.

Super Students: to bring out the teaching skills among the students a live teaching competition is conducted on MAANA TV HYD thus by making the students Employable. 3 of our students Yamini, Sreevani and Vinyasree Participated and vinyasree has won the 2nd prize at the state level competition with the prize money of Rs.20,000

BharathDarshan: TTWREIS conducts BharathDarshan Programme to promote the top students to visit various places all over INDIA.

Life Skills 360: 21 Students with good teaching skills are selected from our college for life skills program to teach in the schools after a prior teaching.

CCIP: Our student Nikitha-B.Com(ca)-1st year  selected for CCIP a prestigious programme by TTWREIS.

MSME: Few students from MPCS trained on Embedded systems for 1 Month.

Bridge Course program: To bridge up the gap for the students from telugu medium TTWRIES introduced Bridge course program for 3 weeks at the beginning of the academic year.

GRE: In order to encourage the students to take up Ambedkar Overseas Scholarship to pursue higher education abroad 4 interested and selected ST students from our college are given special coaching for IELTS/GRE.

Employability skills: TTWRIES provided employability skills program at our college campus for the selected students from 22 Degree Colleges to take up Employment after Graduation.

 CAT: 3 students from our college selected for CAT coaching at IIT Rajendranagar to excel in MBA in IIM.

 SPARK college(Specialized college): The toppers from each section, 23 students were selected for special PG coaching, IIT JAM,CU –CET at SPARK college,nagaram.

RDC-fabulous 5:Recently TTWRDC launched thin program to enhance the teaching skills among the students. They include English, maths, science, telugu, art/ dance.

Webinar on Goal Setting(Student Development Programme)

We have invited Prof. Narendranath who is retired Professor OU and currently working as professor in Institute of Public Enterprise.

It was oraganised by our Principal madam Dr.Neeta (Convenor) and M.Madhuri- coordinator(DL in Economics), S Kavya Coordinator GDL In Computer Science, K Srilaxmi (GDL in Computer Science) and M Shilpa (GDL in English) delivered vote of thanks.

It was conducted on January, 28th 2022 on digital  platform Google Meet for all 22 Tribal Welfare Degree colleges. Sir Narendranath has elaborately explained the topic -Goal setting through slide show. He had an interactive session with students and he explained inspirational stories through anecdotal stories. Sir has kindled the spirit of students to strengthen their confidence and achieve their goals. Total 98 participants have attended webinar session. We also have taken feedback from participants.

SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS:

National Science Day is clebrated every year on February 28th every year, it is celebrated on this day to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir CV Raman, back in 1928. For this Discovery, Sir CV Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

On February 28th 2021, Science Day celebrations were conducted The Theme of National Science Day 2021: 'FUTURE OF STI (Science, Technology, and Innovations): IMPACTS ON EDUCATION,SKILLS AND WORK'. Nodal Agency to support Celebration: National Council for Science and Tecnology Communication(NCSTC) of Ministry of Science and Technology.

Students enlighten the visited about the importance of Microbiology in everyday life. Conducted blood grouping experiments with visitors blood who were curious to know their blood group. They enlighted the guests about the major contributions of the scientists in Microbiology field and their impact on the everyday science in the society. The visiting students were presented with the importance of skills like curiosity & imagination, initiative & entrepreneurship, Agility & Adaptability, critical thinking & Problem solving,  oral & written communication collaboration & networking, Accessing & analyzing Around 150 students & faculty have visited and appreciated the awareness conducted by the students of dept. of Microbiology, TTWRDC(W) Shadnagar.

Mathematics Department has organised Quiz. On the occasion of science day on February 28, 2021 by forming 2 teams like 1. Ramanujan Team 2. Shakunthaladevi  in which they have been asked questions. each team 10 questions, In that Ramanujan Team won and Shakunthadevi team as runners and distributed the prizes to the winners.

Department of Physics

On the eve of “National Science Day” which was held on 1st March, 2021. Physics students of MPCs-II year have exhibited few experiments related light, sound etc. to all noon-science, faculty etc.

They just enlighten others that block and white are not colours. They exhibited the sound created through air column using different tuning forks etc.

Students participated enthusiastically and explained the concepts to all the visitors to lab with utmost interested.

They collected the feedback from the visitors so that they can take their suggestions and be prepared for next face.

Department of Botany

Botany Department has organized some experiments on the occasion of National Science day on  28th Feb-2021. Our students involved very active in these experiments.

  1. Experiment: Topic:- Plant breath(students observe exchange of gases in plants)
  2. Experiments: Topic:- Osmosis in Potato( students observe absorption of water in plants)
  3. Experiments: Topic:- Transportation of Water in Plants(Students observed using coloured water absorbed by the stem and change the colour of flowers)

Digital Classes:

To keep up the students abreast with the latest educational practices with a student- friendly environment, Gurukulam has introduced digital classes as part of  virtual learning.

Flipped Classes:

Flipped classroom is the part of Blended learning practice in the institutions where students learn new content outside the class and practice them in the classrooms.The aim of this classroom is to inculcate critical thinking and self-learning among the students. As it makes the shift away from traditional instruction, the students are exposed to experiential learning which is the new norm in the world of information.

Field Trips:

Field trip has been introduced by gurukulam to reinforce experimental and contextual learning. These are the way of enhancing classroom learning by making real world connection. Field trips expose the students to different life styles, places people and culture. They provide great way to bring excitement and adventure to learning.

Seminars:

Seminars constitute a major avenue of exchange of ideas as well as gaining a better insight into the subject. It has numerous benefits including improving communication skills, gaining expert knowledge, networking with others and renewing motivation and confidence.

Computer Education:

Computer with the internet facility is the most powerful tool that students can use to learn new skills and more advanced version of current lessons .It helps the student to draw the creativity and explore imagination and to develop their skills . Apart from regular schedule students can access this facility to make utmost use of it.

Remedial Classes:

Remedial instructions can help slow learners to shore up their basic skills. This extra support can help them to  reach to their peers.

Gurukulam has introduced remedial classes by faculty for future learners as an effective approach in which they revise list of important concepts and  score of remedial tests will be conducted and recorded for each students and they were reinstructed for further improvement.

Quartet Group:

To bridge the gap between future learners and advanced learners each class is divided into no. of quartet groups consisting of an advanced learner , an average learner, an above average and a future learner. This is an effective tool to support focused reflection, helps the teachers to give individual attention and strengthens collaborative learning.

Project Work:

Project based learning is a teaching where students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging a complex question, problem or challenge .It allows students to demonstrate her/his capabilities while working independently and to apply desired skills such as doing research. It helps students to work with her/his peers, building team work and group skills. At Gurukulam level every year, competition on project works based on problem solving is conducted  and the best project is awarded.

Club Activities:

The purpose of this activity is to let students explore talent and opportunity to bring out creative among without any pressure of examination and competitions.

Note: Club activity is NOT preparation of a profession; hence there is no requirement for training by experts or professionals.

The Student Club is a platform for self-directed and peer-supervised activity by students to develop their ability to cooperate in an atmosphere free of competitiveness.

  1. Each faculty member should mentor a Student Club.
  2. First come First serve basis. Students who enrolled in clubs up to the maximum limit of a club should consider as club member.
  3. The strength of a Club should be not less than 10 students and not more than 35 students. Remaining students should be in other committees. For example Healthy Thursday, Deebate team, Placement team etc.
  4. Each Club should meet on every Saturday and do some club activities.
  5. The role of the Faculty Mentor is to maintain order and focus during the meetings and intervene only in cases of disorder or conflict.
  6. The agenda of the meeting and Club activities should be handled entirely by the students (with no or minimal inputs from the Faculty Mentor).
  7. With regard to budget for Club-Activities, requests will be funded, through principals.
  8. As mentioned in Academic Calendar each club indicates each month. Clubs should showcase their activities at the end of the month as per the calendar. Examples of showcase activities.
    • Competition (Quiz/Crossword/JAM (Speak of 1 Minute)/Debate/Essay/ Artwork).
    • Public awareness campaign about some recent or historical event or matter related to the public interest.
    • Posters related to Club activity.
    • Infotainment event (Skit/Subject-based game/Presentations/Poster Display/Puppet Show/ Exhibition/Cultural program)
    • Guest lecture (could be by an outside person or a Faculty of different subject).
    • Survey related to a matter of public interest and analysis of survey results.
    • Video(s) of their activity.
  9. Annual Clubs showcase should do according to the calendar. Each Club showcases its activities on one day. The best club will be awarded.
  10. Each Club in a College should send a brief report of its activities to the Head Office (Training Coordinatior or other officials).

Roles and Duties of Club In-charges:

  • Each club is headed by President, Vice-President and Treasurer. These roles are filled by club election every year.
  • President: The student who is elected/appointed as the president of the club is the leader of the club and its members. It is his/her responsibility to coordinate with vice-president, treasurer and volunteers to conduct activities of the club. This position should be filled by second year student.
  • Vice-President is the second leader of the club, and share equal responsibilities like that of the president of the club. This position should be filled by first year student.
  • Treasurer is responsible to maintain the accounts clear if club activities involve financial quotient. This position could be occupied by either second or first year student.

Roles and responsibilities of Faculty in Club Activities: “Club Mentors”

  • Each club should be mentored by one faculty member who is designated as “Club Mentor”.
  • Club mentor concerned must review the student’s club activities every week.
  • Club mentor and club student members should plan and discuss weekly, monthly and quarter targets.
  • Club mentors should help the students in finding resource persons and materials to run the club.

6 Commerce Club To expose students to meet practical challenges in the present business scenario. Guest lecturers, debates, industrial visits.
7 Community Out reach To make our students empathize with the real problems of society. They should visit orphanage, old age homes etc.
8 Entrepreneur Cell To empower and encourage students to create business, get involved with the community. Case studies, mentoring, workshops and etc.
