Outcome of the program B.Sc. Botany:

A student completing the course is able to understand different branches of Botany such as systematics, evolution, ecology, physiology, biochemistry, plant interactions with microbes and insects, morphology, anatomy, reproduction, genetics .

The student completing the course is able to identify various life forms of plants, design and execute experiments related to basic studies on evolution, ecology, developmental , physiology, biochemistry, plant interactions with microbes , morphology, anatomy, reproduction, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology.

Vision:

 It aims to train the students in all the areas of plant sciences with a unique combination of core and elective papers with significant interdisciplinary components .

Mission:

The mission of this department is to  equip students with subject domain knowledge and technical skills pairtaining to plants.

  •  Rote Learning
  •  Non availability of the Revised Edition of Text Books as per new CBCS .
  •  Poor communication skills among the students
  • Classrooms without ICT facility
  • Sudden trasition from local language to English in UG level makes the students to take time to adapt to the U.G. syllabus
