The Examination Branch at the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree College for Women in Devarakonda plays a crucial role in managing and organizing all aspects related to academic assessments and evaluations. As an undergraduate college affiliated with MGU Nalgonda, it ensures smooth conduct of internal examinations and external examinations like SEC ,AECC  and practical examinations, timely submission of marks and maintenance of academic records in accordance with university guidelines. The functions of the Examination Branch include scheduling internal  examinations time table, coordinating exam logistics, overseeing the invigilation process, collecting answer sheets, conducting fair and transparent evaluation procedures, and submitting  academic transcripts to university. By efficiently managing these responsibilities, the Examination Branch contributes to maintaining academic integrity, promoting student success, and upholding the standards of excellence at the college.
 Additionally, the Examination Branch  ensures the safe escorting of students who are assigned examination centers at other colleges. This involves coordinating transportation arrangements and providing necessary guidance and support to ensure that students reach their designated exam centers on time and in a secure manner. By prioritizing the safety and well-being of students during the examination process, the Examination Branch reinforces the college's commitment to fostering a conducive and supportive academic environment for all its students.

The process for semester-wise (regular) exam fee payment and submission of examination application forms for undergraduate (B.A/B.Com/B.Sc) students is as follows:

Sanctioning of Exam Fee: The Head Office Gurukulam approves the exam fee amount based on the fee proposal submitted.

Payment of Exam Fee: The sanctioned amount from the Head Office is received and utilized for paying the examination fees.

Submission of Examination Application Forms: Examination Branch  submit the  examination application forms of the students through online submission using the college login. Additionally, the exam fee is submitted offline through a challan.

Preparation & Submission of E.A.F. Online: Examination Application Forms (EAF) are prepared and submitted online through the college login.

Remittance of Examination Fee: The consolidated examination fee is remitted through a State Bank of India (SBI) challan to the designated account number.

Submission of Printed EAF Forms: Printed EAF forms, along with necessary documents such as Nominal Rolls (NR) and Fee Abstracts, are submitted to the Exam Branch at Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) Controller of Examinations in Nalgonda.

Regarding grievances:

Issue Resolution: The Examination Branch addresses and resolves issues such as discrepancies in internal and external results, semester schedules for sports students participating in state-level tournaments, and exceptional cases. If any student encounters such issues, they can approach the Examination Branch, which will then liaise with the university to resolve the matter effectively.

EXAMINATION POLICY

The examinations shape students' grades and career paths in today's competitive, tech-driven world. Given the ever-changing industry needs, it's crucial to prioritize teaching adaptable skills and decision-making, transcending traditional exam-centric education. The focus should extend beyond exams, equipping students to excel in the intricacies of the modern professional landscape.  Therefore, the internal examination policy seeks to encompass diverse assessment methods, aiming to evaluate a range of student abilities including application, technological and presentation skills, analysis, evaluation etc.

The examinations conducted at TTWRDCW, Devarakonda are semester pattern. During one semester for each subject, there are two internal assessments of 20 marks and one semester end examination of 80 marks. In addition, internal examination/assignment of 10 marks for Ability Enhancement Compulsory course (AECC) and Skill Enhancement course (SEC) were to be conducted.

The internal examinations at TTWRDCW, Devarakonda strictly adhere to the schedule provided by Mahatma Gandhi University Almanac. According to MGU norms, the student must get 40%  separately in internal and semester end examination i.e separate passing marks in internal (minimum 08 marks out of 20) and external examination (minimum 32 marks out of 80). The scheme of evaluation for internal assessment is 20 marks i.e 10 questions carrying 2marks each.

Student must get minimum 08 marks in internal examination to be eligible to appear for semester end examination. It is the responsibility of teaching faculty and students to thoroughly read, clearly understand and to help in effective implementation of internal examination policy.

Goals of policy:

  • To ensure efficient and transparent conduct of internal examinations in the best interest of students. 
  • To provide clear guidelines to students and teaching faculty regarding internal examinations.
  • To make sure that the evaluation process is fair and transparent.

 

Internal examination policy measures from 2019 – 2023

  • The schedule/dates of internal examinations will be placed on the display board two days prior.
  • The hall ticket numbers will be displayed in each classroom one day before the examination.
  • The internal written tests should be conducted by the faculty to whom the invigilation duty is assigned.
  • Every student is expected to attempt two internal examinations out of 20 marks per subject in each semester as per the University Almanac. The average of both the tests scored by the student will be considered for calculation of internal marks.
  • The student is expected to make sure that she scores minimum 08 marks out of 20 for qualifying to appear for the final examination. 
  • The record of absentees and failed students will be displayed on the notice board.
  • The final internal marks will be uploaded in MGU website after cross-checking of marks by concerned subject faculty.
  •  Special Considerations- The students who represent university/state-level sports, cultural activities, NCC or NSS during internal examination schedule shall take prior permission of the concerned subject teachers, so that necessary arrangement can be made for them.

Amendment for internal examinations during COVID-19 lockdown:

As per the Govt. instructions and MG University circular, the Principal after discussions with the Academic coordinator and examination branch committee have made decision to conduct assignments comprising of 2 essay type questions with 10 marks each (Total: 20 marks) instead of internal written tests due to COVID-19 lockdown.
