ABOUT THE ZOOLOGY DEPARTMENT

It is also known as animal biology .The study of Zoology Includes the interaction of animal kingdom in their ecosystem such as classification, habit, structure ,embriology,Distribution,Evolution and extinct species,,zoology is the division of biology that deals with the animal kingdom.

Vision:

• The department promotes the discovery and broad knowledge about the biology of animals, evolution and their environments .
• The holistic development of the students and made them able to contribute effectively for their welfare and society in this dynamic era.

    Mission:

• Our mission is to offer high quality education dedicated to building minds with siocialand moral responsibility.
• We are committed to educating the students beyond the confines of a class room to make them better individuals and develop their personalities, enabling them to face the challenges of the modre work
• Objectives:
• Conducting educational tour to giving exposure to the students by visiting Animal parks ,dairy Industry, sericulture, fisheries,poultry forms,Zoo ect.
• To motivate students to conduct seminars workshops on the topics included in the çurriculum.It will help in achieving academic excellence and exposure
• To provide a comprehensive training in theoritical and practical zoology and environmental biology to students
• To equip students with adequate practical skills that will enable them function productivity in society.
• To produce leadership in science and technology
• The sensitize human society for animal welfare, conservation and protection of biodiversity
• To create awareness of In SITU conservation of wild life
• To develop the attitude of the students to concentrate onapplid Science aspects
• Transform society through the empowerment of women

• Good opportunities for Zoology students of placements in lectureships, research, forest department, competative exams, animal care taker branch, forensic medicine, animal suppliers’ pest control ect.
• They can start small scale industry in poultry forms ,Apiculture, sericulture fisheries pearl culture Agriculture, pisicultureect

• Motivate students for research activity
• Creating awareness about the digital learning
• To cultivate research aptitude among UG , students is yet another challenge
• To train academically weaker students to perform well in academics and help they pursue higher education.

USP

• Students prepared compost pit.
• A Committee was set up by the preparation of compost pit .
• Every day they managed all the work related to manure preparation .
• The compost prepared will be used for plans in our garden.
• To bring awareness among the students about  fertilizers. Pesticides and how harmful they are for human life and to  earth .
