UNIT- 2 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY

CO-1. 1 To understand the electronic displacement and concept of organic reactions mechanism.

CO-2 knows the basic concept of isomerism and concept of chirality.

 CO-3 To describe preparation and application hydrocarbon.

CO-4 To discuss the preparation of benzene with their chemical properties.

UNIT -3 PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY

Unit-2: Organic chemistry Alcohols

CO-1: To Know Alcohols: preparation, esterfication, Oxidation with PCC, Oppenauer  oxidation, pinacol-pinacolone rearrangement,

CO-2: To understand Prepartion from diazonium salt of aniline, acidic nature, names reactions.

CO-3:To learn

Ethers and epoxides, Carbonyl compounds nomenclature, synthasis ketones ,named reaction.

CO-3:To know the 18 valence electron rule,classification of metal carbonyls      

Unit-2: Organic chemistry

CO-1:To know the nomenclature, classification and methods of preparations.kolbe reaction,arndt –eister synthesis, halogination by hell-volhard –zelensky reactions. 

CO-2: To understand  acidity of α –hydrogens of withdrawing groups,preparations of acetoacetic ester.and substituted dicarboxylic acid.

CO-3:To learn nomenclature and classification of nitro hydrocotbons.tautomerism of nitroalkanes ,nomenclature and preparation of nitrobenzene by nitration.                 

Unit-3;PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY   

CO-1: To know  Electrical transport-conduction in metals and in electrolyte solutions,specific conductance and equivalent conductance.kholraush law,arhenious theory,debay –huckel onsagar equationand conductometric titrations.

CO-2: To understand electrolyte and galvanic cells ,EMF of a cell, types of electrodes, electrode rections, Nernest equations, and potentiometric titrations

Unit -4 ; GENERAL CHEMISTRY

CO-2 To know energy levels of Simple harmonic oscillator, force constant and absorption bands of functional groups.

CO-3:To learn Types of electronic transitions, Termnology and Beer’s Lambert’s law.

UNIT- 2 (NMR and MASS SPECTROSCOPY)

CO-1:  To understand Nuclear magnetic resonance, position of signals, chemical shift, and its factors, spin-spin coupling and  based on problems.

CO-2 :To knows the principles, Nitrogen rule, types of ions and their Mass Spectras (types of peaks), determination of molecular formulas and based on problems.

UNIT-3( SEPARTION TECHNIQUES-I)

CO-1 To describe Solvent extraction and its  type of solvent extraction brief explanation and its applications.

CO-2 To discuss Classification of chromatographic methods, principles of differential migration, adsorption, solvent types and solvent systems

CO-3:THIN LAYER CHROMATOGRAPHY: Preparation of TLC Plates, Solid and Mobile Phase used in TLC, eluotopic Series, Development TLC, Spot detection, RF Factor, Applications

CO-4 :PAPER CHROMATOGRAPHY:To Know Choice of Paper, Solvent System, Development of Chromatogram and Types of chromatogram

CO-2: ION EXCHANGE CHROMATOGRAPHY: Principle, theory and instrumentation,Application of ion exchange chromatography.

CO-3: GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY: Principle, theory and instrumentation,Application of Gas Chromatography
