TASK – BASED CLASSROOM TEACHING

* Task – based teaching is practiced to create an active classroom by increasing student participation

 
Teaching through ICT tools
* The classrooms are set up with digital boards which creates a congenial learning atmosphere and
the students will have the enthusiasm to learn more.
* The Smart learning classrooms make the classroom teaching more interesting and exciting.
* Audio-video is displayed in the classrooms to make the students listen the class attentively and
recapture the English period

PG Coaching

* English department strives its best to encourage the students for higher education.
* Interested students from II and III year are selected and given PG coaching throughout the year.
* The students are encouraged to take up English for their higher education.
* A timetable is framed for the PG classes and syllabus is designed.
* Students are given notes and material along with explanation for PG entrance examinations in
English.
* Weekend tests are conducted and the progress of the students is noted each time from one test
another test.
* Attendance is marked in each PG class to make sure no student miss the opportunity to learn the
topics taught in the class

 

EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS TRAINING

* As English language plays a major role in the global world today, the department of English in our
college took up the responsibility of training the students in employability skills.
* Time table and syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers all the essential topics useful for
employability training.
* The interested students from all the groups of final year are selected for this training.
* This specially focuses on mock interviews, group discussions, JAM sessions etc
* This training builds the confidence level in the students and they are made to practice more to
improve their skills.

STUDENT SEMINARS

* Students are selected to present seminar in their classrooms.

* The selected students will choose a topic from their textbook and will prepare for the seminar.

* It encourages the creative thinking of the students to present uniquely in their classand help

* Students  overcome their Inferiority and quiver with this type of activities.
