"Awareness Program on Women Safety, Rules and Acts Related to Women Safety" On 24th August 2024

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The awareness program on "Women Safety, Rules, and Acts Related to Women Safety" was conducted on 24th August 2024 at the college premises. The event was organized by the District Women Empowerment Department in collaboration with SAKHI, aimed at creating awareness about the safety and welfare of women and children. The program was attended by the students of all three years, along with the college faculty and invited

  

 

 

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  1. Candles Tribute: The program began with a solemn candle tribute by the principal, vice principal, IQAC coordinator, and the guests, in honor of the victims of the recent tragic incident involving a Kolkata doctor. The tribute was followed by the participation of all the students present at the event. This moment of respect was aimed at expressing solidarity with the victims and raising awareness about the importance of women's safety.
  2. Guest Speaker Session: The central part of the program was an awareness session conducted by a guest speaker, who provided valuable insights into the various rules, regulations, and acts concerning women and child welfare in India. The speaker shared important information about government rules that safeguard women’s rights and ensure their safety, including laws related to domestic violence, sexual harassment, and child protection. Furthermore, the speaker emphasized the significance of helpline numbers for immediate assistance in case of emergency situations.
