The Department of history conducted the Quiz  Competition to BAII Year Students on 01-dec-2022

• In this competition all the II-year students involved very  actively
• I Have farmed Questions regarding to History subject
• I divided students into 6 batches .i.e.A.B.C.D.E.F Batches.
• I have conducted Quiz in 6 rounds each round contain 20 questions.
• In this Quiz A  batch stands as winner runners are C Batch
• I Have distributed pens to the winners .

•                                 KHAMMAMFORT

• Introduction:

  We the Department of history and students visited Khammam Fort, a historical landmark situated in Khammam District, Telangana. The primary objective of this visit was to explore the rich history, architecture, and cultural significance of Khammam Fort, a structure that has witnessed the evolution of the region over centuries. The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to learn about Telangana's medieval history, military architecture, and cultural heritage.

• Architectural Exploration: To examine the architectural features of the fort, including its design, construction techniques, and strategic significance.

• Overview of Khammam Fort

• Khammam Fort, perched on a hill in the heart of the city, dates back to the 10th century and has been a prominent structure in the region’s history. The fort was originally constructed by the Kakatiya dynasty and later expanded and modified by successive rulers, including the Qutb Shahi dynasty and Mughal rulers.

• NELAKONDAPALLY- BUDDHIEST STUPAM

• On a field visit to Nelakondapally, a village located in the Khammam district of Telangana, India. The main objectives of this visit were to explore the historical significance of the region, learn about the rural lifestyle, and gain firsthand experience of the local agricultural practices and culture. Nelakondapally, known for its ancient Buddhist heritage and agricultural environment, provided an ideal setting for this educational excursion.

• Objectives of the Field Visit:

• Explore the Archaeological and Historical Significance: Visit the ancient Nelakondapally Buddha Stupa and other archaeological sites to understand the rich Buddhist heritage in the region.

• 1. Visit to the Nelakondapally Buddha Stupa

  The primary destination on our visit was the Nelakondapally Buddha Stupa, an ancient archaeological site that dates back to the 2nd century CE. The site is one of the most significant Buddhist monuments in the region and has historical importance in understanding the spread of Buddhism in Telangana. The students learned about the architecture of the stupa, the Buddhist relics found at the site, and the history of the ancient Buddhist civilization.

• CHAKALIILAMMA JAYANTHI

• Objective:
  The celebration of Chakai Illama Jayanthi was organized by the Department of History to commemorate the birth anniversary of Chakai Illama, a key historical and cultural figure. The aim was to engage students with his historical contributions, explore his impact on the society, and promote a deeper understanding of regional history and culture.

• Quiz and Interactive Activities:

• A history quiz was conducted on the life and contributions of Chakai Illama. Winners received small prizes, encouraging active participation and learning.

• ON SEPTEMBER -17th
• INTRODUCTION
• The event aimed to engage students and faculty members in discussions on the historical significance of governance in Indian society, with a particular focus on people's participation in governance systems. The event highlighted how historical models of governance can influence current public policies and citizen engagement.

• Objectives of the Event

• To raise awareness about the evolution of governance structures in India.
• To encourage student participation in discussions about public administration and governance.
• To explore the historical roots of democratic participation and its relevance in modern India.
• To promote critical thinking on governance issues faced by the country today.

• Conclusion 

  The "Praja Palana Dinostavam" was an enriching and insightful event that allowed students and faculty to reflect on the historical foundations of governance and its contemporary relevance. It emphasized the crucial role of public participation in a democracy, whether through voting, activism, or civic engagement.
