“PROMOTING AGROECOLOGY FOR EFFECTIVE TRANSITION TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY”
22nd-23rd November 2024
Host: DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY, TTWRDC(Girls)-KHAMMAM.
Key note Speaker: Dr.Krishnakar Kummari, International Project Manager in MIJARC.
The two days workshop on "Promoting Agroecology for an Effective Transition towards Sustainability" was held on 22nd -23rd November2024 at TTWRDC(Girls)-KHAMMAM. We invited Dr. KRISHNAKAR KUMMARI., Project Manager for MIJARC World & ASIA. To give information with practical knowledge to students on Agroecology. The event brought together 50 participants from B.SC.,BZC.,BZCS.,MBZC I,II,III Year students, including Department of Zoology HOD K.Rajitha, faculty members T.Yashoda and Dr.U.Swarnalatha. The workshop aimed to promote Agroecology as a sustainable approach to agriculture, discuss its benefits and challenges, and identify strategies for its effective implementation.

2. Extension lecture-Department of Zoology
TGTWRDC (G) Khammam College today organized an online extension lecture on the topic on "NERVOUS SYSTEM "The objectives of this Lecture were to explore history and importance of nerves.
Dr.D.Balakrishna began by providing knowledge about concept of Nerve, Nervous system , disorders of the nervous system like infections such as meningitis, encephalitis,myelitis, and epidural abscess,carpal tunnel syndrome.
The event ending with an interactive question and answer session. In this lecture students gain the knowledge regarding Central nervous system and peripheral Nervous system.The vote of thanks was presented by T.Yashodha ,DL in zoology and feedback was given by D.Nikhitha-III MBZC and T.Lavanya -III year.
