DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS
- The Degree course in B.Sc Statistics was started in the year 2021 under the Department of Mathematics and Datascience Affliated to the Kakatiya University.
- The Department offers Certificate Course In Statistics for UG students.
- National Statistics Day celebrates on june 29 and National Population Day celebrates on July 11 every year.
- Department host one day seminars, Institutional visits, talks by experts, quiz Competitions etc, every year.
- Computer laboratory of the department is fully equipped with nearly 40 computers. the students are trained on various Statistical Packages like STATGRAPHICS, R PROGRAMMING.
- Aim of the Department is to send the successful students in Degree courses are directed to either higher studies at variuos Universities/National Institutions/Colleges or Jobs.
- The courses are Designing to develop a class of analytical and inferential aptitude among the students through rigorous practical assignments along with exposure to industries.

Eligibility Criteria for Statistics Courses in India
For UG Statistics courses, you must have (10+2) qualifications with a minimum of 50% aggregate with Mathematics as one of the core subjects.
For PG Statistics courses, you must have a degree in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Mathematics with Computer A pplications & Statistics. You should have a 50-60% aggregate.
