INTRODUCTION

The Department of Zoology was started in 2018 with the B.Sc.BZC course. The Department organizes field trips near college surroundings for studying living animals, and their behavior. Field work experiences at field. The faculty is always available to guide and council the students and remain friendly and accessible. Special coaching for different entrance examinations after graduation. College has reference books in the library. The Department of Zoology has one well equipped laboratory for Students.

Envisions inculcating the highest values of life, science education, and respect for nature and concern for ethical values among students through good and scientific educational practices. The department promotes the discovery and broad knowledge about the biology of animals, evolution and their environments. The holistic development of the student and make them able to contribute effectively for their welfare and society in this dynamic era.

MISSION

The Mission of the Department of Zoology is to impart education to graduates in Zoology so as to equip them to interpret the ecosphere around to local communities and students. Apply themselves meaningfully in any activity requiring zoological expertise solve the problems in conservation biology. And to combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills to equip the students to take up active research in the areas of conservation Biology. Our mission is to offer high quality education dedicated to building minds with social and moral responsibility. We are committed to educating the students beyond the confines of a class room to make them better individuals and develop their personalities, enabling them to face the challenges of the modern world.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

• Conducting educational tour to giving exposure to the students by visiting Animal Park, dairy industry, Sericulture, fisheries, poultry forms, zoo etc.

• To motivate students to conduct seminars, workshops on the topics included in the curriculum. It will help in achieving academic excellence and exposure.

• To provide a comprehensive training in theoretical and practical Zoology and Environmental Biology to students.

• To equip students with adequate practical skills that will enable them function productively in society.

• To produce leadership in science and technology.

• To sensitize human society for animal welfare, conservation and protection of biodiversity.

• To create awareness of INSITU conservation of wild life.

• To develop the attitude of the students to concentrate on applied science aspects

• Transform society through the empowerment of women

• To develop research aptitude and a scientific advancement.

Efficient, sincere and hardworking team of faculty members, many of whom have talents other than teaching. A well-equipped laboratory and teachers with research experience

WEAKNESS

Despite the best efforts put in by the faculty members could produce only a few ranks in PG entrance.

Students are very hard working and sincere so that the Department can have better meritorious achievements. With the talents in students to develop better overall personality. With infrastructural facilities quality education can be carried out by students and teacher.
