SEMESTER:I-UNDERSTANDING POLITICAL THEORY
CO1- Anaylsing what is politics and explaining the approaches tomthe study of political theory- Normative, Empirical
CO2- Assessing the theories of state origin, explaining the concept of state soveriegnty, anaylsing the changing concept of soveriegnty in the context of globalisation.
CO3-Understanding the basic concepts of Liberty, Equality, Justice.
CO4-Exploring the major political idealogies of Nationalism, Liberalism and Multiculturalism.
CO5- Discussing about the Political institutions such as Legislature, Executive, Judiciary, political parties, pressure groups and media.
SEMESTER:II- WESTERN POLITICAL THOUGHT
CO1-Providing an insight into dominant featues of ancient western political thought: Ancient greek political thought with focus on Aristotle and Plato.
CO2-Explaining the features of Medieval political thought, Renaissance thouht and Machiavelli concepts.
CO3-Critically anaylsing the theory of soveriegnty: Hobbes as the founder of the scienceof materialist politics, Lockes as the founder of Liberalism with focus on his views on natural rights, property and consent and Rousseau's views on Freedom and democracy.
CO4- Taking an insight into the following:- Hegel's views on civil society and state.
CO5- Examining the socialism of Marx.
SEMESTER:III- INDIAN POLITICAL THOUGHT
CO1: Tracing the evolution of indian political thought from ancient india to modern India, Anaylsing the concepts of Manu, Buddha and Koutilya.
CO2- Critically anaylsing the thought of medieval philosophers: Basava, ziauddin barani's concepts.
CO3- Anaylsing the Renaissanse thought of Rajaram Mohan Roy, Jyothi Rao Phule.
CO4-Explaining the concepts such as Reformist thought of M K Gandhi, Dr.B.R Ambedkar.
CO5- To understand the socialist thought of M.N Roy, Jawaharlal Nehru, R.M Lohia.
SEMESTER: IV- CONSTITUTION AND POLITICS OF INDIA
CO1- Introducing the indian constitution with a focus on the role of the constituent assembly and examinng the essance of the preamble.
CO2- Critically analyzing the important institutions of the indian union: The Executive: President, prime minister, council of ministers; governor, chief minister and council of ministers; The Legislature: Rajya sabha, Lok sabha, Speaker, committe system, state Legislature, the judiciary: Supreme court and the High courts: composition and functions-judicial activism.
CO3- Assessing the nature of indian federalism with focus in union- state relations.
CO4- Critically evaluating the indian party system- its development and looking at the idealogy of dominant national parties, Evaluating the role of various forces on indian politics: religion, language, caste etc,.
CO5- Evaluating the electoral process in india with focus on the Election commission, composition, functions and role.
SEMESTER: V- GOVERNMEMT & POLITICS IN TELANGANA
CO1- Analyze the historical evolution of telangana, including its socio-political movements, struggles for statehood, and their impact on contemporary politics.
CO2- Evaluate the constitutional provisions and legal aspects related to the formation of Andhra pradeshand its governance within the indian dederal structure.
CO3- Explore the significance of regional movements like the telangana movement, their leaders and their influence on political discourse and governance in th state.
CO4- Exploring the various JACs movements towards get the separate statehood.
CO5- Analysing the constitutional process of formation of telangana, Investigate the electoral processes, political parties, voting behaviour and their impact.
SEMESTER: V(GE)- GOOD GOVERNANACE
CO1- Understanding the principles of good governanace and government.
CO2- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the fundamental principles of good governance, including accountability, Human rights, participation, and the rule of law.
CO3- Critically analyze the jey techniques of good governance such as transparency,openness, citizen charter and social audit.
CO4- Demonstrate the emerging trends such as public and private governanace,good governance and civil society, ICT and Good governance.
SEMESTER: VI- SOCIAL MOVEMENTS
CO1- Understand the concept of social movements, demonstrate the definitions, meaning, evolutions and rise of social movements, issues in social movements.
CO2- Critically analyze significant social reform movements such as Anti Brahmin movements, Backward class movements in andhra pradesh, telangana and tamil nadu, as well as womens movement.
CO3- Analyze the Agrarian movements such as Bharat kisan union, Shetkari sanghatana, Karnataka rajya Ryta Sangha.
CO4- Assess the impact of environmental movement such as Chipko movement, Narmada bachao andolan.
CO5- Examine the Assertion movements such as Adivasi movement, Dalit movements, Naxalite movements.
