Khammam - S-Mall

S Mall is student mall. It is a consumer-oriented mall where students learn about the profit and loss, different types of customers. Students get the things from different wholesale shops around the college and start selling them in the college. As it is a residential college this mall runs very efficiently. Students get the entire requirement like cosmetics, snacks, sanitary napkins and other things required. This way of selling and buying things makes students to become a good entrepreneurs in life.

In our college  Bcom students were divided into the groups .Each group is given incharge for one week and they maintain mall and record all day to day business transactions in s-mall records. They are maintaing records such as cash register, stock register includes inward and outward of stock. Students are learning practical exposure through this mall by maintaining  proper accounts at the time of trading.They also gained bargaining power while purchasing different commodities from the wholeseller.
Students can analyses the market and understand the price variations of products among the different wholesale shops.with this students are exposed to various business strategies adopted by wholesale and retail shops in the local area.As a commerce graduate they can understand the marketing techniques adopted by the companies

By maintaining S- mall students can learn business tactics, which may help them in future if they go for  start-up.S mall  benefits  the students in  real life  for taking up entrepreneurship.

S-mall is opened for2 hours daily, ie .in the morning time 7.30am to 8.30am and in the  evening 5.30pm to 6.30 pm. The s-mall maintained by 3 members in a group week wise on rotation bases. Out of 3 members one girl is taking care of stock and issue of stock, one student maintain the cash while selling the products  and the third person concentrate on recording outward stock book immediately after selling of a product. S-mall stock includes food items , stationery, soaps etc; and other requirements of students. The stock is purchased  from wholesale and retailshops at discount and sold to students at reasonable prices. Students organized stock in a systematic manner so that others students can easily find out the products which are available in s- mall.
